About Us

The Alliance for Listeriosis Prevention includes organizations with an interest in strategic approaches to the prevention of listeriosis.

Members of the food industry have been working together since 1995 with organizations sharing this common interest. In July 2003, this working group created this Web site and designated the Alliance as a name for its affiliates and new partners that reflect the breadth of the issue.

The purpose of the site is to establish a centralized location for information about new developments in listeriosis prevention. While individual members provide valuable expertise in specific aspects of listeriosis, the Alliance hopes this site is helpful to consumers, the media and other opinion leaders, public officials, allied organizations and constituent groups.
